Mount Ida Press provides consultant services for historical research, publishing, editing, writing, and indexing projects.

Since 1984 we have worked on scores of projects across the country, from New York to California. Our clients include businesses, professional firms, schools and universities, museums and other nonprofit organizations, associations, publishers, and government agencies.

Historical research
We conduct historical research for corporate and institutional histories, exhibits, historic-structure reports, National Register and National Historic Landmark designations, and other preservation projects.

Publishing services
We offer start-to-finish publishing services, from concept development and feasibility planning through writing, editing, proofreading, picture research, graphic design, and printing coordination.

Editing and writing
We're experts at editing and proofreading. We write regularly for publication, preparing short pieces such as press releases and brochures, as well as book-length guides and histories.

Indexing
Using professional indexing software, we create easy-to-use indexes for books, journals, and government records as hard copy and for posting on the Internet.
